Appendix D – Making changes to the program INI file
The table below documents some of the program variables that can only be changed by editing
the rwmx.ini or rwmc.ini file. The following procedure shows how to make changes to these
variables:
1. Stop the RWMX or RWMC program.
2. Open the rwmx.ini or rwmc.ini file using Windows Notepad. This can usually be done by
double-clicking on the file name. This file is located in root installation directory or the
instance directory.
3. Locate the variable you wish to change and modify its value (see the table below for
reasonable values).
4. Save the rwmx.ini or rwmc.ini file and restart the RWMX or RWMC program. The new
settings will now take effect.

SensorStartDelay Delay in seconds before the
program starts to communicate
with the SSD. This is intended to
allow the SSD to power-up
before any commands are sent to
it. Using 0 disables the delay.

ModemPortSettings Modem communication
parameters used in sending pager
messages. The default
parameters of 1200,e,7,1 are
used by most PSP’s. The
alternate parameters of
1200,n,8,1 are used by some
PSP’s outside of North America.

WebServerLogFileLinesLimit Maximum number of log file
lines returned by the Sensorsoft
Web Server.

SMTP_RemotePort The default of 25 is the well-
known port used by most mail
servers. If you have configured
your own mail server to a port
other than 25, this is where you
configure the RWMC SMTP
mail client.
